Disco Elysium Coming to Mobile Devices
ZA/UM has announced that its award-winning RPG Disco Elysium will be re-adapted for Android devices. The game has been redesigned to offer a more mobile-friendly experience. The first two episodes will be available for free, and this new version aims to offer players the opportunity to enjoy the story in short sessions. There is no statement yet on whether the game will be available on iOS devices.
What Will Change in the Disco Elysium Mobile Version?
Unlike the original PC and console versions of the game, the mobile version has been restructured to accommodate shorter and faster play sessions. Disco Elysium’s exploration mechanics have been greatly reduced, transforming the game into more of a visual novel format. ZA/UM officials stated that these changes will make the game experience easier for mobile users. Studio head Denis Havel stated that the mobile version was designed to “capture the interest of TikTok users with its story, art and audio elements.”

Story lead Chris Priestman said in a statement about the mobile version that this adaptation will make Disco Elysium more accessible. Priestman stated that this version, which is structured for short sessions on mobile devices, is ideal for users who want to experience the game easily. It was announced that the mobile version of the game will appeal to new and returning players, while remaining true to the original story and art style.
The mobile version of Disco Elysium will offer the first two episodes for free. Players will be able to pay to play the rest of the story. Pre-registration has begun for Android users, but no information has yet been shared about the iOS version. ZA/UM also announced that a new espionage RPG project, Project [C4], is also in development. The mobile adaptation of Disco Elysium will be available on Android devices in 2025.
