DLSS 4 Coming to All RTX Graphics Cards

NVIDIA announced the next-generation image enhancement technology DLSS 4 at the CES 2025 event. This technology will come to all RTX graphics cards and will offer different features to each series. DLSS 4 will work with full performance especially on the new RTX 50 series graphics cards. It aims to increase FPS rates in games by up to eight times with innovative features such as Multi Frame Generation. In addition, DLSS 4 will provide significant improvements in image quality and provide a smoother and more realistic gaming experience.

DLSS 4 Features and Innovations

DLSS 4 is defined as the biggest AI model update NVIDIA has ever offered. This technology supports features such as DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA with a single advanced AI model. As a result, it offers higher detail, better moving object stability and reduced ghosting problems.

On the RTX 50 series graphics cards, DLSS 4 stands out with its Multi-Frame Generation feature. This feature significantly increases FPS rates by producing three additional frames for each traditional frame. NVIDIA claims that with DLSS 4, the RTX 5090 graphics card will be able to offer a fully ray-traced gaming experience at 240 FPS at 4K resolution. However, this feature will only be available on the RTX 50 series graphics cards.

DLSS 4 will also come to the RTX 20, 30 and 40 series graphics cards, but these models will not benefit from the Multi-Frame Generation feature. Instead, these series will benefit from features such as more advanced frame generation, ray reconstruction and super resolution. NVIDIA announced that these features will be supported by 75 games and applications from day one. Popular games such as Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 will be updated with DLSS 4 support.
