Drag x Drive Demo Coming to Players This Weekend

Drag x Drive, developed for Nintendo Switch 2, offers a unique experience that combines basketball with wheelchair sports. Players propel the wheelchair by moving both Joy-Con 2 controllers back and forth, and attempt to shoot the ball into the basket by lifting one controller. This weekend’s Global Jam demo will provide the first opportunity for the game to be played by a wider audience before its release.

Drag x Drive Demo Dates and Times

The Drag x Drive demo will be available in three sessions on August 9–10. Each session will last four hours:

  • August 9: 3:00–7:00 AM PT / 6:00–10:00 AM ET / 11:00–3:00 PM BST
  • August 9: 5:00–9:00 PM PT / 8:00–12:00 PM ET / 1:00–5:00 AM BST (August 10)
  • August 10: 9:00–1:00 PM PT / 12:00–4:00 PM ET / 5:00–9:00 PM BST

In the game, players are on the field with their own unique control system. This system is designed to directly translate physical movements into the game. This makes both reflexes and team coordination critical for success. One of the most anticipated topics during the demo is how these mechanics will feel and how smoothly they will work.

Another notable aspect of Drag x Drive is the match dynamics that require team coordination. The game prioritizes player interaction as much as individual performance. The demo will reveal how easily this rapport can be achieved and how players can support each other.

Drag x Drive, scheduled for a full release on August 14th, is already poised to become one of the most talked-about sports-themed games of the summer season. One of the most eagerly awaited questions players will have is what additional features will be included in the final version of the game after the demo.
