DreadOut 3 Officially Announced

The DreadOut series, which has a unique place in the world of horror games, is returning with its new installment. DreadOut 3 was announced in collaboration with Soft Source Publishing and Digital Happiness. The game is planned to be released in 2026, and the development team specifically emphasizes that the release date will be “definitely after” Grand Theft Auto VI.

DreadOut 3 Opens a New Door on the Threshold of Fear

DreadOut 3, which invites players to Linda’s frightening journey again, takes place in a dark universe fed by Asian-Indonesian legends. In this sequel, players will explore both the living world and the dark dimensions with Linda. The game’s plot is based on finding the source of an unseen power that threatens the balance between light and darkness.

The new game will offer a freer gameplay than the previous installments of the series. According to the developer’s statement, players will be able to roam freely in open areas affected by the changes of day and night. Spirits, the source of fear, will pose a more intense and constant threat this time. In order to deal with these spirits, Linda’s smartphone will be able to switch between third-person and first-person camera angles.

In the gameplay, not only physical dangers but also puzzles will challenge players. Spiritual puzzles in particular will require players to switch between different lands in the rural atmosphere of Indonesia. In addition, players will need to complete the “Ghostpedia” application on Linda’s phone. This means investigating urban legends and discovering different spirits.

Another striking aspect of DreadOut 3 is the customization options. Linda’s various clothing options will add depth to the game’s atmosphere in connection with ancient summoning rituals. This new adventure, woven with digital nightmares and local legends, promises an experience not to be missed for horror fans. The game’s Steam page is currently active.
