Dying Light: The Beast’s New Kyle Is Much Darker
Dying Light: The Beast, scheduled for summer 2025, will bring players back together with the series’ familiar face, Kyle Crane. However, the Crane we will meet this time is far from his old self. The traumas he has experienced and the transformation he has undergone over the years have completely changed both the character’s personality and his role in the game.
Dying Light: The Beast Reveals Kyle Crane’s Dark Side
Roger Craig Smith, who voices Crane again in the new production, says that the character has a much heavier psychological burden compared to the previous version. Long-term torture and experiments have shaped Crane’s personality. Players will be able to experience these breaking points directly reflected in the gameplay.
Smith states that the change in the character’s inner world is also reflected in the voice acting. He states that Crane from 2015, known for his sarcastic and humorous lines, is still deep down, but this time that side of him will be seen less. He emphasizes that players will sometimes feel this old Crane, but the general atmosphere will be much more serious.
Dying Light: The Beast draws attention with its intense narrative, although it is smaller in scale than previous games. Players will encounter character-focused narrative as well as action in this new story where Kyle Crane confronts his past. This makes the tone of the series even darker and more dramatic.
Although the exact release date has not yet been determined, the game is expected to be on shelves in the summer of 2025. Dying Light: The Beast seems to be a candidate to be one of the most in-depth productions of the series in terms of both story and character development with the change of Kyle Crane.
