EA SPORTS FC Champions Gender Equality with UEFA Women in Football Leadership Programme Sponsorship
The WFLP, now in its tenth year and running since 2014, is a week-long initiative designed to elevate the careers of women with the potential to influence the future of football. Developed with the support of the IMD Business School, the programme focuses on enhancing leadership skills, expanding professional networks, and building self-confidence among participants. This year’s edition, in partnership with EA SPORTS FC, will feature key-note speeches, group training sessions, and personalized coaching, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing women leaders.
Andrea Hopelain, GM & SVP of Publishing at EA SPORTS, emphasizes the importance of Women’s History Month and the partnership with UEFA as a means to celebrate and inspire inclusion among women within their organization and the broader industry. Thomas Junod, Head of the UEFA Academy, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the programme’s role in championing the advancement of women and fostering a platform for innovation and empowerment within football.
This sponsorship is part of EA SPORTS FC’s ongoing efforts to promote women in football, following the EA SPORTS Women’s Football Summit in 2022 and the inclusion of women in Ultimate Team™ in EA SPORTS FC 24, further establishing the company’s dedication to gender equality in sports.
