Elden Ring Nightreign Challenges Players
The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign, developed by FromSoftware, was quite challenging for players in a network test conducted last month. The game’s three-day mission system and challenging boss battles caused many players to have difficulty completing it. In particular, the final boss, Nightlord Gladius, Beast of Night, has only been defeated 58,615 times.
Elden Ring Nightreign Difficulty and Statistics
Elden Ring Nightreign focuses on online cooperative play, unlike the series’ usual single-player structure. Players progress by defeating a boss each night and try to reach the final goal. However, statistics show that players are having a hard time adapting to this new system.
During the network test, a total of 23,627,489 attacks were used to rescue fallen players. This translates to approximately 7.9 million saves. Additionally, the mini-bosses in the game were defeated between 99,000 and 195,000 times. However, one of the most striking statistics was that players lost 37 billion runes. This highlights the countless deaths and frustrations experienced during the test.
The first day of the network test resulted in many players being unable to log in due to the high volume. However, this issue was resolved over the rest of the weekend. The game’s fast pace and FromSoftware’s design philosophy, which generally prioritizes difficulty, created an experience that was difficult for new players to get used to.
Despite this, the new gameplay mechanics and co-op experience offered by Elden Ring Nightreign were praised by many players. Details such as the surface vibrations and dynamic sound design that came with the DualSense controller were among the elements that enriched the atmosphere of the game.
Elden Ring Nightreign will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC on May 30, 2025. Players can’t wait to explore this innovative experience and tackle its challenges. This new game from FromSoftware looks set to bring a different breath to the Elden Ring universe.
