It’s been six years since Bethesda released the official teaser trailer for the next game in The Elder Scrolls series, and since then almost nothing has been revealed for the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls VI.
A tip discovered on Reddit contains information about The Elder Scrolls VI’s setting, based on a Pinterest account belonging to a Bethesda Game Studios employee. The account featured numerous pieces of concept art that were thought to be the inspiration for The Elder Scrolls VI. These pins suggest that the next Elder Scrolls game will be set in the province of Hammerfell, located west of Tamriel.
This region of Tamriel contains vast forests, forested mountain ranges, subtropical grasslands, swamps and deserts. Reports indicate that past rumors have suggested Hammerfell as one of the game’s possible locations, and this recent discovery of a Bethesda employee’s Pinterest account has reignited those theories.
Moreover, after this story broke, the owner of the Pinterest account set the account to private, which has been interpreted by some as an attempt to hide something that was discovered.
The Elder Scrolls VI was announced in 2018 and there is currently no official release date for the game. Also, no official announcement has been made for The Elder Scrolls VI, which makes it necessary to treat rumors with caution.
