The free Mystery Game promotion is a tradition for the Epic Games Store, with free digital games distributed daily at the end of every year. The version offered by the Epic Games Store is the standard edition of Hot Wheels Unleashed. Gamers who want the ultimate experience may want to purchase Hot Wheels Unleashed: Game of the Year Edition, which comes with all the DLC available for the racing game. In case they only want specific DLC, however, it’s also possible to claim the free game, and then purchase individual DLC, which would be much cheaper than getting them all via the Game of the Year edition.
