Escape From Tarkov Hardcore Wipe Announced
Escape from Tarkov developer Battlestate Games announced on social media that it will release a special update called “Hardcore Wipe” in July. Players believe that this wipe will be much more difficult than usual, and the announced roadmap supports these expectations. Although the company has not yet given a definite date, it is clear that the wipe will come in July.
Hardcore Wipe Changes the Rules of the Game
The term Hardcore Wipe actually refers to a style of play that Escape from Tarkov players have been using among themselves for a long time. In this mode, players cannot use Scav characters, cannot insure their items, and cannot shop from the market or get help from trader NPCs. If these rules are made mandatory with the new wipe, the difficulty level of the game will increase significantly.
Following the visual shared by developer Nikita Buyanov, Battlestate Games also released an official roadmap for the upcoming wipe. These developments were interpreted in the community as the last major change before the game’s 1.0 version. Players believe that this hardcore version could completely transform the game in the short term.
No official date has been announced yet, but details are expected to be shared soon as July approaches. Battlestate Games is very active in sharing the development process with players and has made similar surprise announcements in the past.
Escape from Tarkov has been on the agenda for its anti-cheat systems in recent weeks. A security company’s attempt to clean up all cheaters in the game was recorded as a very remarkable development for the future of the game.
