Escape from Tarkov Has 4 Endings, But Most Players Won’t See Them

After eight years in beta, Escape from Tarkov will launch with version 1.0 on November 15th. This milestone marks the game’s transition into a new era. However, according to the developers, truly “escaping” Tarkov won’t be something everyone can achieve.

Escape from Tarkov’s Endings and Challenges

During a Q&A session at Tokyo Game Show 2025, Nikita Buyanov, head of Battlestate Games, revealed that the game will feature four different story-driven endings in version 1.0. However, one of these endings, the “best ending,” will only be accessible to a small percentage of players. According to Buyanov, this percentage is around 20%.

This statement seems entirely in line with Tarkov’s long-standing, challenging gameplay. Victory in the game requires not only survival, but also overcoming the most challenging circumstances and making the right choices. Therefore, the goal is for players who manage to reach the finale to consider this a true achievement.

The game’s 1.0 release expands not only the endings but also the overall gameplay. Battlestate Games states that players will have both a “seasonal character” and a “permanent character” system. While seasonal characters reset with each wipe, permanent characters will continue to develop without limit. This innovation will add a new dimension to the game for players who want a long-term commitment.

The studio emphasizes that content will continue to arrive at full speed after the 1.0 release. The Tarkov ecosystem will continue to expand with new maps, special events, and seasonal modes. Furthermore, with the game being ported to Steam for the first time, it will be accessible on a platform other than Battlestate’s own launcher.
