Even NVIDIA Employees Couldn’t Get the RTX 50 Series
NVIDIA‘s new RTX 50 series graphics cards have created great excitement in the industry, but stock issues have become a topic of discussion after the launch. The RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 models have sold out due to high demand. So much so that it was revealed that even NVIDIA employees could not purchase these graphics cards from the in-house store. This situation within the company has created great dissatisfaction among employees.
NVIDIA RTX 50 Launch and Stock Issues
Information from within NVIDIA indicates that the company is experiencing serious difficulties in the distribution of RTX 50 series cards. Even the “in-house store” that NVIDIA usually offers to its employees could not provide the RTX 50 series due to insufficient stock this time. An employee from within the company said, “This is the first time we have encountered such a situation. Everyone is questioning why this launch was managed so poorly.”
The situation is no different on the retail side. Some retailers in the UK have announced that it could take up to 16 weeks to deliver cards to users who pre-order the RTX 5090 model. For this reason, many stores have stopped taking pre-orders.
Industry analysts are questioning why NVIDIA is launching this product before stock is ready. It is claimed that the cards are being released early to avoid being affected by some trade tariffs in the US. However, this situation has caused disappointment among both NVIDIA’s employees and users. Although high demand and insufficient stock caused a loss of reputation for NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series launch, the company still maintains its leadership in the GPU market. However, this situation shows that more caution should be taken in future launches.
Despite the stock issues, the RTX 50 series is making a big impact on the industry with its performance. NVIDIA is expected to resolve these issues soon. However, this launch is an important lesson for the company’s future strategies. It is being followed with interest how the RTX 50 series cards will strengthen their place in the market in the long term.
