FARAWAY TRAIN Will Continue on Consoles
Developed by Tatamibeya and published by AMATA Games, FARAWAY TRAIN will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in 2025. Previously available only on PC (via Steam), this atmospheric narrative adventure now aims to reach a much wider audience. The game was originally released for PC on June 3, 2021.
FARAWAY TRAIN focuses on tracing the path of a collapsing empire aboard a train seemingly frozen in time. Players explore the pivotal moments in the life of Empress Roxelana, who is said to wield the “Nebula Astronomical Disc,” an ancient magical device. Each new piece of information becomes a key to unlocking locked doors within the train.
One of the game’s most striking aspects is the procedurally generated, constantly changing exterior views. As players peer through the train’s windows, they encounter a different view each time. This makes not only the narrative but also the visual experience unique to each player. Players can also explore the train and enjoy the scenery through the free-roam mode.
