Fascinating Unreal Engine Demo

Scans Factory’s Italian Town tech demo, developed with Unreal Engine 5.4, features stunning photorealistic graphics. This Rome-inspired cityscape features everything from building facades and cobblestone streets to quaint restaurants and classic Italian scooters. You can download this demo that pushes the limits of graphics technology and experience it on your own computer.

Unreal Engine 5.4 Technical Demo Captivates

The demo features three different lighting scenarios – sunset, overcast and daytime – each of which further emphasizes the photorealistic detail of the visuals. The demo includes more than 600 detailed assets, each one carefully crafted to recreate a real Italian town down to the finest detail. This scene hints at how impressive the next generation of games can look.

The demo runs on the NVIDIA RTX 4090 and averages a satisfying 58 FPS when tested at 4K resolution. Still, since the demo isn’t a game, it doesn’t include a lot of NPCs or animated elements. It looks like there’s still time to see this kind of visual quality in a live game environment. Despite the lack of DLSS 3 support, the performance in Native 4K is remarkable.
