While Stellar Blade hasn’t even been released on PC yet, a major leak has emerged suggesting that developer Shift Up is working on a sequel. This development could mean that the game will be back much sooner than expected.

Shift Up Aims to Release Stellar Blade 2 by 2026

In the internal presentation spotted by Insider Gaming, Shift Up’s timeline for three major projects stands out: Goddess of Victory: Nikke, the Stellar Blade series, and the mysterious Project Witches. According to these graphics, the company aims to release Stellar Blade 2 before 2027. Considering that the first game was released in mid-2023, this means a fairly short development period.

Although the chart does not give a release year, considering that the PC version of the second game will be released in June 2025, a sequel in 2026 could be a logical target. However, it should not be forgotten that such internal plans may change over time.

Project Witches, mentioned in the presentation, is another striking detail. There is no official information yet about this new production, which is expected to be shaped around female characters like Shift Up’s previous projects. However, considering the company’s previous projects, an aesthetic and action-oriented structure is expected.

Stellar Blade was first released on consoles in 2023 and received generally positive reviews. The production, which ranked 82 points on OpenCritic, quickly established its own audience. The PC version of the game will be released on June 11, 2025. It is not yet clear whether Stellar Blade 2 will be officially announced, but the information in the internal presentation shows that Shift Up is serious about creating a permanent brand in this universe.
