First Details of the New Avengers Game Leaked

The Avengers team is returning with a new game. According to a reliable Marvel leaker DanielRPK, a brand new Avengers game is being developed. This game will not have any connection to the disappointing Marvel’s Avengers game released by Square Enix in 2020. Although it is not yet known which studio is developing the game, Marvel is aiming for a big success this time.

First Information About the Avengers Game

Although the details of the new Avengers game are still limited, leaks show that the game will be developed by learning from previous failures. Marvel’s Avengers, released in 2020, received great criticism for its live service-focused structure and lost players due to a problematic launch and insufficient content. However, Marvel plans to come out with a more solid foundation this time.

This new game is expected to have a standalone story and not be connected to other Marvel games. Marvel Games Vice President Bill Rosemann previously stated that they do not want to create a forced connection between the games, saying, “We want the studios to make free creative decisions.” In other words, this new Avengers game may aim to offer a strong experience on its own.

It has not yet been announced which studio is developing the new Avengers game. However, PlayStation studios are thought to be among the potential candidates to undertake this project, given their success with games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man and Wolverine. On the other hand, Xbox is also known to be working on a Blade game with a Marvel license.

The Avengers team may reunite in a similar way to the Secret Invasion-themed game that THQ previously planned to develop in 2012 but was canceled. This time, Marvel aims to offer a AAA gaming experience that will meet gamers’ expectations.
