First Images of Witcher Season 5 Filming Arrived

Netflix’s beloved fantasy series The Witcher continues filming its fifth and final season without slowing down. Liam Hemsworth, who took over the role of Geralt after Henry Cavill, finally appeared before fans with the first images from the set. Although the details about the new season remain a mystery for now, the photos that emerged managed to increase the excitement of fans even more.

Witcher’s Geralt Seen for the First Time

Redanian Intelligence, one of the reliable sources on productions such as The Witcher and House of the Dragon, shared the first frame of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in the new season. The fact that there were two different stuntmen in addition to Hemsworth in the set’s shooting in England caused a brief confusion among observers. However, the new photos finally revealed Hemsworth in Geralt costume.

The abundance of beehives and beekeeper costumes in the area where the shooting took place gives strong clues that the series adapted a scene from Andrzej Sapkowski’s book Tower of the Swallow. In this episode, Geralt encounters beekeepers on his journey and is directed to the druids through them. The druid costumes leaked from the set also support this theory. In addition, the sword on Geralt’s back suggests that he carries the special sword he received from Zoltan at a later point in the story.

It does not go unnoticed that Liam Hemsworth quickly adapted to the role of Geralt. After Henry Cavill left the series at the end of the third season, fans were eagerly waiting for the new Geralt. The images of Hemsworth that emerged show that the character was faithful to both the costume and physical appearance. Redanian Intelligence states that more photos taken from different angles were also shared.

On the other hand, there is other news from the Witcher universe. CD Projekt Red officially confirmed that the voice actor of Ciri in the Witcher 4 game has changed. He also issued a warning to players to be careful about fake beta test invites allegedly issued for Witcher 4.

Netflix’s The Witcher series is preparing to both complete the series and introduce the new Geralt to fans with its final season. Time will tell if Liam Hemsworth’s performance will win the hearts of viewers in the series’ final adventure.
