Fortnite OG Mode Difficulty Level Causes Division Among Players

Epic Games, while closing the year 2024 with the Chapter 6 Season 1 update, has also surprised its players by making the popular Fortnite OG mode permanent. This mode takes players back to the simple and plain gameplay of Fortnite’s first season. However, some problems that have emerged overshadow the enjoyment of this mode by players.

“Sweats” Make Fortnite OG Mode Difficult

A part of the Fortnite community complains about the high number of players who have proven themselves in OG mode, who play well and are called “sweats”. This situation makes OG mode difficult, especially for regular players, and reduces the fun factor.

A user named TheFactory100 on the Fortnite subreddit admitted that he is not a very good player, but shared that he could not survive more than 5 minutes in OG mode. Many players made similar complaints, emphasizing that sweats have become a more pronounced problem in OG mode.

On the other hand, some experienced players argue that the complaints are exaggerated. According to them, the complaining players are used to playing against AI bots and having things easy. However, OG mode should not change this because it reflects the original Fortnite experience. Epic Games’ addition of AI bots to OG mode has further fueled these discussions.

The Fortnite community cannot reach a consensus on the difficulty level of OG mode. While regular players think that sweats take away from the fun of the mode, others argue that the difficulty level should remain the same in order to preserve the original experience. It remains to be seen how Epic Games will resolve the discussions. However, for now, Fortnite OG mode has divided players.
