Free Action RPG UnGodly Announced
UnGodly, a game notable for its dark fantasy atmosphere, has been officially announced. Developed by Azra Games, the game will be released in 2026. The game, which has already generated considerable interest, aims to create a dark, emotional, and captivating world by combining classic elements of the genre with a modern narrative. Players will struggle in a story that pushes the boundaries of humanity and face the consequences of their own decisions.
UnGodly Brings the Dark Fantasy Genre to the Modern Age
UnGodly is being developed as a free-to-play action RPG. The game will launch for iOS and Android in the first quarter of 2026, followed by PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions later this year. With cross-platform support, the game aims to offer a similar experience for both mobile and console users. Players will be able to shape the story themselves with characters they develop emotional bonds with as they try to survive amid the ruins of a vanished civilization.
Azra Games founder Mark Otero describes UnGodly as a “fourth-generation RPG.” Having previously achieved great success with Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Otero now blends classic role-playing elements with modern narrative techniques. The “Affinity System,” at the heart of the game, allows for emotional bonds between characters. Player decisions will directly influence these bonds and, consequently, the course of the story. This ensures a unique experience for each player.
The game world draws inspiration from the dark atmosphere of forgotten lands of sword and sorcery. Each character, shaped by the traumas of their past, engages in an instinctive struggle for survival. The combat system combines tactical decisions with reflexes; each battle tests the player’s strength and patience. The development team summarizes UnGodly’s theme as “survival, redemption, and the resilience of the human spirit.”
On the gameplay front, UnGodly stands out with its open-world missions, extensive PvE campaigns, and real-time group combat. Azra Games describes the game as “the new era of mobile RPGs,” with its graphics that aim to reach console quality on mobile. With its expanding team and strong financial backing, the studio plans to bring this ambitious dark fantasy to players in 2026.
