Freedom Wars Remastered is Coming

Freedom Wars Remastered is coming to PS5 and PS4 on January 10, 2025. This legendary action RPG was one of the most popular titles of the PS Vita era, and now it returns in HD remaster. Especially with 4K resolution and 60 FPS support, the experience will be taken to a whole new level for modern gamers.

Freedom Wars Remastered in Development for PS4 and PS5

Freedom Wars Remastered is not limited to visual updates. We’ll have access to all previously released DLC and will be able to reunite with the online co-op mode. Originally developed for PS Vita and only playable in single-player after its online servers were shut down, the game now offers a much more dynamic experience. Thanks to the remaster, you’ll be able to fight for survival alongside other players.

The story takes place in 102014, at a time when the Earth’s surface cannot support life. People live underground in huge cities called Panopticons. In this dystopian world, every citizen must work in a fascist system to survive. Players control a character who is sentenced to 1 million years in prison for the “crime of living” and can only mitigate this sentence by serving the state.

The original game was an impressive experience, even on the PS Vita’s limited hardware. But Freedom Wars Remastered takes it to a whole new visual and technical level with modern technology like 4K resolution and 60 FPS. Offering an impressive atmosphere for both old fans and new players, the game will prove itself again, especially with its action-packed battle scenes.
