FSR4 Can Work With All DLSS2+ and XeSS Games

AMD’s recently announced FSR4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution 4) technology was introduced as only available on RDNA4-based Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. However, modders have discovered a way to make this technology work in games that support DLSS2+ and XeSS. Thanks to a tool called OptiScaler, FSR4 can now be activated in games that do not directly support it. This development has created great excitement among gamers and expanded the potential use cases of FSR4.

How Does OptiScaler and FSR4 Work?

OptiScaler is defined as a modding tool that combines DLSS, XeSS, and FSR technologies. This tool is used to add FSR4 technology to games that support DLSS2+ or XeSS. At the same time, DLSS integration can be provided to games that only support FSR or XeSS. The tool offers a flexible solution for users who want to benefit from the graphical improvements of games.

FSR 4 VS FSR 3.1.3 Cyberpunk 2077 - Using Optiscaler - RX 9070 XT

FSR4 technology stands out especially for its increased visual quality and performance. Thanks to OptiScaler, this technology can now be tested in popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077. Mod developers state that FSR4 can provide performance above 60% FPS and significantly increases visual quality. However, it should be noted that the mod is still in the experimental phase and may contain bugs for some games.

FSR4, which came after AMD’s FSR3.1 technology, was limited to the RDNA4 architecture. However, OptiScaler managed to overcome this limitation and offer the technology to a wider user base. Especially in single-player games, the use of this mod is possible without being affected by anti-cheat systems. In graphically intensive games such as Cyberpunk 2077, the visual improvements offered by FSR4 were appreciated by players.

The fact that FSR4 technology can be used in a wide range of games through modding may increase AMD’s influence in graphics technologies. However, this development also raises questions about whether AMD will support older GPU architectures. This success achieved through OptiScaler seems to have opened the door to a new era in the modding world.
