Creepy Jar’s new project, StarRupture, stands out as a base-building and survival game with four-player cooperative gameplay. The development team has shared the first 10-minute gameplay video from the game, which takes place on the planet Arcadia-7. The footage reveals both the fascinating atmosphere of this alien world and its deadly dangers in detail for the first time.
StarRupture Calls You to Fight for Survival on Arcadia-7
Players, as prisoners exiled to a distant planet, take on difficult tasks offered to the service of large corporations. The goal in StarRupture is to build a giant factory and survive. However, this journey will not be easy. Arcadia-7’s dying star, Ruptura, periodically turns the planet’s surface into ash, initiating a cycle of rebirth. These disasters both deepen the struggle for survival and provide opportunities for new resources and secrets.
The gameplay trailer highlights players exploring the environment, gathering resources, developing technologies, and building bases. The threat is not limited to environmental disasters; aggressive alien creatures also target bases. Therefore, building defense systems and team coordination are of great importance. Players can join this fight either alone or with up to four friends.
The constantly changing structure of the planet offers new discoveries and risks in each cycle. While wandering through the ruins of previous exploration teams offers clues about the story, it also gives players information about Arcadia-7’s dark past.
