Genshin Impact previously revealed that the next update will feature one of the most anticipated characters in the community, the mysterious Cryo user Skirk. The Special Program Event for Genshin Impact Version 5.7 was recently held, and HoYoverse revealed that apart from Skirk, players will also be able to pull for Shenhe, Mavuika, and Emilie on the Limited Character Banner. Many fans agree that this will be one of the most stacked updates when it comes to featured 5-stars, as it includes both the long-awaited Skirk and the first re-run for the Pyro Archon, Mavuika. Regarding Skirk’s strength on the field, her kit demonstration confirmed that she will be a new DPS character who relies on a team composition featuring Hydro and Cryo characters. This is probably one of the reasons she has been placed on the same banner as Genshin Impact’s Shenhe, who is known for her supportive abilities, especially toward Cryo characters.

Version 5.7 will also feature new archon quest which continues the story between siblings and the Abyss. This archon quest will also feature long waited Dainselff. This time, players will also have a chance to see him on combat. Genshin Impact 5.7 will also bring new events, one of them is co-op permanent content which players can explore once the patch drops.

Skirk won’t be the only new character released in this update, as HoYoverse has also confirmed the arrival of another 4-star character named Dahlia, who already appeared in the main storyline. As for the update’s official release date, players can expect Genshin Impact Version 5.7 to drop around June 18.
