Version 6.1, dubbed Luna II, will be an important update for Genshin Impact: introducing Nefer as the first Dendro hypercarry since Version 5.0, and commencing the open beta for Miliastra Wonderland. From a storytelling standpoint, it will feature a direct confrontation against Rerir, one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri’ah and the main antagonist of Nod-Krai.

In terms of Event Banners, Genshin Impact players can expect to see Nefer and Furina in the first half of the update, while the second half of Version 6.1 will feature Arlecchino and Zhongli. In terms of events overall, the Flagship Event for Version 6.1 will take players back to Sumeru, featuring characters such as Dehya and Candace, as well as a variety of minigames and combat challenges. Furthermore, Version 6.1 will mark the first in-game appearance of two major characters in Genshin Impact: Durin and Varka. While Durin was featured in Version 4.8 and in Version 5.6, this upcoming patch will be the debut of his playable form.

The other highlight of the livestream concerns the Miliastra Wonderland. Introduced as a sandbox for user-generated content in Genshin Impact, the Miliastra Wonderland will also feature a character creator tied to an extensive system of cosmetics. In addition to engaging with the content of Miliastra Wonderland, players will be able to customize their Manekin, explore Teyvat with them, and deck them out in modular outfits. Genshin Impact players will be able to obtain these outfits through several sources: via crafting, by making direct purchases in the store, earning them through the battle pass, or by pulling on the banners.

While the Miliastra Wonderland will come with its own separate gacha system, players who purchase the Battle Pass for Genshin Impact will be able to claim the Battle Pass for Miliastra Wonderland for free. Additionally, Genshin Impact players will be able to earn revenue via an incentive program based on the accumulated playtime of their creation. These creations can be made via the Miliastra Sandbox, a powerful tool supported by official documentation, allowing players to build intricate gameplay systems even with limited coding knowledge. Version 6.1 is set to launch on October 22, 2025.
