Ghost of Yotei Runs Smoothly Even in Alpha Version
As excitement builds for Ghost of Yotei, comments from former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida have raised expectations even higher. Yoshida stated that the game was very stable and the gameplay experience was extremely smooth even while it was still in alpha. These statements also brought with them intriguing details about Sucker Punch’s new project.
Ghost of Yotei Receives Full Marks from Yoshida in Alpha
Shuhei Yoshida revealed in an interview with Easy Allies that he played Ghost of Yotei many times in various tests that Sucker Punch invited him to. Although he is no longer involved in first-party projects at Sony, the studio has regularly invited Yoshida to experience the game. During these tests, Yoshida said that despite the game’s battle system being overhauled several times, it never crashed and always worked smoothly.
Yoshida stated that he forgot that he was holding the controller while playing Ghost of Yotei and that the naturalness of the gameplay was impressive. According to him, studios such as Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog are very successful in creating the feeling that the player is completely immersed in the game. Yoshida’s words of praise show that Ghost of Yotei has accomplished great things in terms of gameplay.
The information that Sucker Punch has shared about its new game so far is quite limited. Ghost of Yotei is only mentioned as a visually impressive open world and a structure that offers freedom to the player. Although gameplay videos have not been shared yet, Yoshida’s experiences prove that the game is technically well-established.
Ghost of Yotei is planned to be released in 2025. This means that the game may have already left the alpha phase behind. However, Yoshida’s performance even in the alpha version suggests that the game can reach a much more impressive level in later versions. Players’ eyes are now on the official gameplay reveal from Sony.
