GTA 5 Enhanced Like GTA 6 Trailer
While Rockstar Games offers players a new experience with Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition, it is said that this version could be a preview for GTA 6. In particular, the extensive use of ray tracing-based global illumination (RTGI) technology and the details it adds to the game world give an idea of what the new game will bring in terms of visuals and performance. According to Digital Foundry’s analysis, these innovations indicate major changes not only visually but also technically.
GTA 6 Technology: Being Tested in GTA 5 Enhanced
The RTGI system, introduced with GTA 5 Enhanced Edition, realistically simulates light and shadow interactions in the game world. This technology can process not only sunlight, but also reflections and light bounces from any light source in detail. Digital Foundry claims that this technology was developed for GTA 6 and first tested on GTA 5.
However, these innovations also impose a serious burden on the hardware. Tests show that RTGI places a high load on the processor (CPU) in particular. Even a modern processor like the Ryzen 5 3600 has difficulty running this technology at 1440p resolution and NVIDIA DLSS quality at 60 FPS. This strengthens the predictions that GTA 6 may remain at the 30 FPS limit on basic consoles.
The fact that the scenes shown in the GTA 6 trailer are also run at 30 FPS provides clues about the game’s performance targets. In addition to the new RTGI technology, increased light reflection and environmental details will allow players to have a deeper experience. However, these advanced features can strain powerful hardware and offer limited performance on older-generation consoles.
With GTA 5 Enhanced Edition, Rockstar Games has managed to both satisfy existing players and increase excitement for GTA 6. While the impressive results of new technologies have created a great impact in the gaming world, the official release date and performance details of GTA 6 are eagerly awaited among players.
