GTA 6 May Not Work on All Xboxes
As the eager wait for Grand Theft Auto VI continues, recent revelations about the game have some eagerly awaiting fans worried. The Xbox version of GTA 6, which is expected to be released next year, has raised questions, especially for Xbox Series S users. The game is scheduled to come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms first, and then is expected to come to PC. However, statements made by a former Rockstar employee may have lowered some gamers’ expectations for performance.
GTA 6 May Not Run Smoothly on Xbox Series X
Former Rockstar employee Obbe Vermeij is a veteran of the development of games such as Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas. In a recent comment on Twitter, Vermeij pointed out the performance difference between the Xbox Series S and other platforms. According to Vermeij, the lower hardware specs of the Xbox Series S could pose a serious challenge in terms of game performance. “There’s a pretty big performance difference between the Series S and the PS5 Pro,” Vermeij said, noting that under ideal conditions, the Xbox Series S could run at 30 FPS on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5, and 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro.
This isn’t the first time that the Xbox Series S has been a “headache” in the development process due to its low hardware specs. It’s been known to cause difficulties in various games before due to the console’s hardware limitations. However, with GTA VI confirmed for both Xbox Series X and Series S, it remains to be seen how the game will perform.
