GTA 6 RP Mods May Arrive Sooner Than Expected

GTA 6‘s highly anticipated RPG (roleplay) modes may be available to players much sooner than expected. New job postings from Rockstar Games have revealed plans for a “creative economy” based on user-generated content and dedicated servers. These postings, particularly focused on RPG-based platforms like FiveM and RedM, indicate that community-supported content will play a significant role in GTA 6’s multiplayer world.

Rockstar Prepares RPG and Creative Ecosystem for GTA 6

The role-playing servers have undoubtedly played a significant role in GTA 5’s long-term success. It appears Rockstar is preparing to integrate this model into the early stages of the game for GTA 6. The opening of a “Senior Product Manager” position in the company’s New York office has highlighted the need for a professional to work directly on FiveM, RedM, and similar products.

GTA 6 RP Mods May Arrive Sooner Than Expected

This position will manage product development processes on platforms where users can develop their own game mods and modifications. Duties also include developing new discovery systems, revenue models, and viewership strategies for content creators. It appears that Rockstar plans to establish a viewership-driven economy with GTA 6, directly supporting content creators.

The term “UGC (User Generated Content)” in the job posting suggests that Rockstar has broader plans for the RPG community, including not only mod support but also revenue sharing, server hosting, and custom tools. This suggests that RP mods for GTA 6 could be released sooner in an official, integrated format.

Furthermore, this development is believed to be PC-first. The presence of the largest RP servers on PC and the preference of content creators for this platform could allow Rockstar to prioritize a PC release early. The role-playing universe of GTA 6 appears to be taking shape even before its release.
