GTA-Like London Crime Story ENDS Released
A new crime story game is coming: ENDS, which will take you through the dark streets of London. This GTA-style game is particularly notable for its realistic atmosphere, dual-main character system, and detailed portrayal of London culture. Developed by Concrete Realm, the game’s first developer diary has been shared, providing important insights into the development process. ENDS released its first concept trailer in 2023. After remaining silent in the intervening years, the team is now revealing the game’s current state with full clarity.
Ends Takes Us Down to the Streets of London
At the center of the game are two main characters, Rahim and Sonny. The story follows these two young men trying to survive and establish themselves in London’s tough neighborhoods. The development team presents the characters’ lives through a narrative “inspired by real life.” Numerous details in the game, such as the camera system, phone interfaces, and walking animations, aim to give the player the feeling of walking the streets of London.
ENDS stands out with its urban atmosphere. The developers have strived to accurately portray the environment they live in, incorporating numerous elements into the game, from street signs to environmental sounds. The integration of the music player with the phone and the characters’ interaction with the environment enhances the game’s dynamism. In this respect, ENDS aims to differentiate itself from traditional crime-themed games.
Not only combat but also exploration is a key focus of the game. Driving mechanics, the combat system, and light parkour elements were briefly showcased in the devlog. These elements indicate the game will offer a broader range of gameplay. Furthermore, the developers have been transparent about the technical challenges and project delays they’ve experienced, an approach players have appreciated.
The game’s Steam page is live and can already be added to wishlists. There’s also a Discord server for players interested in joining the ENDS community. While no definitive release date has been announced yet, the development team says they will share new videos and information in the coming months. ENDS already looks like a game that should be on the radar list for those looking for a compelling crime story set on the streets of London.
