GTA’s Legendary Player Might Not Be in GTA 6

Lazlow, one of the first voices that comes to mind when GTA is mentioned, joined the series in 2001 with GTA 3. Having started his journey as a radio host, Lazlow became a live character with GTA 5, becoming a fan favorite. However, recent developments suggest that this beloved character may not be in GTA 6.

Lazlow Jones Issues Ambiguous Statement Regarding GTA 6

In a recent interview with Nerd Reactor, Lazlow Jones did not provide a clear answer to a question about whether he would appear in GTA 6. Recalling his departure from Rockstar in 2020, Lazlow stated that he joined a new studio, Absurd Ventures, and is working on new projects there. This statement suggests he will not be returning to GTA 6.

Lazlow, who has appeared in every game from GTA 3 to GTA 5, is known as one of the series’ longest-running actors. He went beyond just being a radio host, particularly in GTA 5, and played an active role in humorous scenes. Fans are eagerly awaiting his return in GTA 6, at least on the radio. However, recent statements have challenged this expectation.

After leaving Rockstar, Lazlow emphasizes that Absurd Ventures, the studio he founded with his former teammates, focuses on creative and independent projects. He states that in this new era, they have a much more open working environment inspired by their Rockstar days. However, it’s also thought that this environment may mean they’re staying away from major projects like GTA 6.

Since Rockstar hasn’t made any official statement regarding GTA 6, Lazlow’s status remains unclear. However, the team changes and new directions taken after 2020 increase the likelihood that players won’t hear this iconic voice in the new game. The silence surrounding GTA 6 continues to postpone the answers to all these questions for now.
