Born in Bulgaria, Antonov moved to Paris at the age of 17 and began his career there. He took part in many important projects in the gaming world, including Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Prey, Fallout 4 and Wolfenstein: The New Order. The striking atmosphere of Half-Life 2 and the iconic “Dunwall” design of Dishonored were the greatest examples of his artistic vision.

Antonov joined Arkane Studios after working at Valve. During his time there, he expressed his passion for the game development process by saying, “I focus on projects rather than companies.” Dishonored’s unique world was a reflection of this approach to projects.

Antonov’s work was revolutionary in combining aesthetics and storytelling in game design. The dystopian world of Half-Life 2 and the Victorian-inspired atmosphere of Dishonored left deep memories in players’ minds.
