Half-Life 3 Comment Came From Inside Valve
Half-Life 3, one of the most anticipated projects in the gaming world, has once again come to the fore with a new statement from Valve. Evgeniy Evstratiy, one of Valve’s concept artists, said in a podcast that he “entered the room where Half-Life 3 was being developed.” Stating that he did not directly witness the development process, the artist stated that he only saw computers, whiteboards and a work environment in the room. Nevertheless, this statement is considered one of the most concrete comments from Valve.
Half-Life 3 May Still Be on the Agenda
Evstratiy’s statement overlaps with leaks about the project codenamed “HLX” that has been circulating in the Half-Life community for a long time. Data mining studies conducted in recent months suggested that important stages in HL3’s development process have been completed and the game is now in the “polishing” phase. These comments are being compared to similar testing processes experienced in games such as Half-Life: Alyx and Deadlock.
Another factor that increased expectations was the fact that Mike Shapiro, the actor of Valve’s voice characters G-Man and Barney Calhoun, made a statement about “unexpected surprises” for 2025. These statements strengthened the possibility that the series could make a big comeback this year.
However, Half-Life 3’s history is full of canceled projects. The game, which is known to have entered the development phase and been shelved several times before, may share the same fate this time. The fact that Evstratiy only entered a room for a short time and has no direct connection to the project also leads to cautious interpretation of the statements.
Nevertheless, leak sources claim that the project is at a more advanced stage this time compared to previous attempts. It is also among the claims that the game, if completed, will bring a final end to Gordon Freeman’s story. Although no official statement has been made by Valve, the hope that the Half-Life 3, which has been awaited for years, may actually exist this time has been reborn.
