Half of Assassin’s Creed Shadows Developers Don’t Know How to Make Games
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is not having an easy time in development. The game’s release has been delayed due to negative reviews of the game’s heroes and the poor performance of Star Wars Outlaws. However, speaking at an event, series producer Marc-Alexis Côté spoke about the current state of the team and their thoughts on the game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Team Revealed as Rookies
Côté said, “After the pandemic, there are too many novices in our teams. In general, the experience level has dropped. Almost half of the team developing Assassin’s Creed is making a game for the first time.” While he didn’t explicitly say whether this has caused problems in the development of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, he did say that it has affected perceptions within the team.
Côté said that even though the team is currently seeing the game at its worst, they will eventually get to a good place, and reminded that he has faced similar situations before. He emphasized that in the first Assassin’s Creed in July, even considering that the game would be released in October, it eventually scored 91 points.
With the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows just around the corner, veteran producer Côté and his team are confident in their work. While working with a novice team can be difficult, Côté’s past experience gives him confidence that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be a success.
Nevertheless, the game’s delay and the inexperience of the team has some gamers worried. Assassin’s Creed fans fear that the next game in the series will fail to live up to expectations. But Côté and his team seem determined to overcome these challenges by working hard and capitalizing on their past experience. It remains to be seen what kind of game Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be.
