Heavy Bowgun Introduced for Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom has released a new video introducing one of the weapons in the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. This time, we see the Heavy Bowgun, ideal for players who prefer to keep their distance when fighting monsters.
Fighting at a distance with the Heavy Bowgun in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter games, it’s important to remember that you can’t hit your targets from hundreds of meters away, hence the emphasis on “relative” distance. The Heavy Bowgun uses special ammo to expend energy in firing mode, which you regain with normal hits. The weapon’s shield allows you to protect yourself from incoming attacks manually as well as the automatic protection function. You can also use the focus mode to deal more damage by targeting existing wounds.
Monster Hunter Wilds is being billed as the successor to Monster Hunter World, released in 2018. In the new game, the extensive ecosystem simulation that drew attention in World returns. You will be able to observe monsters living their lives in a realistic and complex way and interacting with each other.
In the new game, we will also see the effects of climate change on this ecosystem. There will be harsh and hostile conditions, but also moments when areas are vibrant and full of life. These dynamics will directly affect the lives of monsters and their packs.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
