Featuring Henry Cavill, Squadron 42 is the long-awaited spin-off of the Star Citizen universe. After seven years of development, Cloud Imperium Games has finally revealed the first gameplay details. Scheduled to be released in 2026, this production is another important project that Cavill has starred in after Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

Squadron 42 is a standalone story set in the Star Citizen universe. Players will start as a rookie pilot and will be equipped with the most technologically advanced features. The mothership serves as a hub where the character can rest, eat, and interact with crew members. You also have the opportunity to customize your character on this huge spaceship, where you can prepare before each mission.
The main enemy of the game is the Vanduul, an alien race, and the leader of these dangerous enemies is played by the famous actor Andy Serkis. With the contribution of Cavill as well as many Hollywood stars, Squadron 42 is preparing to attract the attention of space-themed action and FPS lovers by offering a deep story.
Squadron 42 is planned to offer 30 to 40 hours of gameplay. The detailed nature of the game has been made even more exciting with developments shown at events such as CitizenCon.
