Hollow Knight: Silksong Can Be Played Without a Weapon or Cape
Hollow Knight: Silksong, which quickly became a favorite among speedrunners and challengers, has now been taken to a whole new level. A special mode that allows players to complete the game without weapons or a cloak has increased both the fun and the challenge. Now, Hornet can take on massive enemies with nothing but his kicks.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Mode Takes the Game to the Extreme
Developed under the name Crest Master, this mode quickly became a phenomenon within the Silksong community. The mode gives players eight different vehicle slots and instant crest switching, but the real difference is the “Cloakless Crest” feature. This option allows Hornet to go both cloakless and needleless. The result? Fights are now nearly impossible.
A short scene in a hidden area within the game features Hornet being kidnapped and stripped of all his belongings. Cloakless Crest extends this section throughout the game; now Hornet can only fight with his kicks. These attacks deal one-fifth the damage compared to his jab, turning every enemy encounter into a test of patience.
Videos shared on social media show players tackling epic challenges using this mode. Footage shared on Twitter by a player named “Kele” shows Hornet, uncloaked, attempting to defeat giant creatures with his kicks is both hilarious and impressive. These battles, particularly against the hard-hitting bosses, quickly became a trending topic in the gaming community.
The community considers these challenges “true tests of mastery.” While Silksong was already known for its difficulty, this mode pushes the limits to the limit. Players experience an experience not even Team Cherry designed, testing their reflexes and patience to the limit. It seems Hollow Knight: Silksong is no longer just a game; the final test of patience, strategy and perseverance.
