Horror Game Phasmophobia Is Becoming a Movie
The horror game Phasmophobia, which achieved great success in a short time after its release in 2020, is now entering the world of cinema. The official film adaptation of the game has been announced, and the project includes powerful names in the horror genre, Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. Although the release date has not been announced yet, the preparation process for the production has officially begun.

Daniel Knight, director of the game’s producer Kinetic Games, describes this development as “a big moment for the entire team” and states that this collaboration is “the beginning of a really exciting process.” The film will be signed by Blumhouse, known for horror productions such as M3GAN, Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Black Phone. Atomic Monster, known for productions such as Annabelle and The Conjuring, has also been included in the project.
Details about the film, such as the script, cast, or release date, have not yet been shared. However, the involvement of these two giant studios in the project has created great anticipation among fans. The development team announced that they will share more information in the future.
In addition to the film announcement, major innovations are also on the way for the Phasmophobia game. A new voice recorder item, collectible media content, and a redesigned Grafton Farmhouse map will be added to the game with the Chronicle update, which will be released on June 24.
According to the 2025 roadmap announced in February, extensive changes to character models, a new map, and special events for Halloween and New Year’s are planned for the year. While the activity on the game side continues, the film adaptation is also expected to contribute to this interest.
