Hulk Hogan Dies at 71
Legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, who sparked the global “Hulkamania” phenomenon, has died at the age of 71. Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, was taken to the hospital by ambulance from his home in Clearwater, but despite all efforts, he could not be saved. The WWE star, who had been suffering from long-term health problems, reportedly suffered a heart attack.

After an emergency call this morning, Clearwater Fire & Rescue arrived at Hogan’s home. According to witnesses, paramedics performed CPR while he was being taken by ambulance. Hulk Hogan was taken to the hospital and died at 11:17 a.m. Police stated that there were no suspicious circumstances in the incident.
In recent weeks, Hogan’s wife, Sky, denied rumors about his health being “in a coma,” claiming his heart was strong. However, it was known that he had developed complications following neck surgery.
Hogan, who became WWE World Heavyweight Champion by defeating the Iron Sheik in 1984, initiated the “Hulkamania” movement. With his colorful bandana, yellow-and-red attire, and iconic mustache, he transformed wrestling into a massive spectacle that captivated not only sports fans but also children and families.
Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and later received this honor for a second time in 2020 as a member of the NWO. The star, who also faced scandals, was temporarily expelled from the organization in 2015 for racist remarks, but subsequently rehabilitated.
