Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated science fiction game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is still taking shape in the development process that began in 2020. The game’s creative director Neil Druckmann stated in Sony’s “Creator to Creator” video series that many details about the project are still unclear and that the game is constantly evolving. Announced at The Game Awards in 2024 and receiving great attention, the game is considered the studio’s move to start a new series.

Neil Druckmann said in a statement about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, “There are many people working on this project and the process is quite complex. I still don’t know exactly what the final version of the game will be, but I have a theory and an idea.” With these statements, Druckmann indicated that the game’s development process has not yet reached the final stages.
