inZoi’s PS5 Release Date Announced

inZoi, a new take on the life simulation genre, has officially launched for PlayStation 5 following its early access success on PC. Having sold one million copies in its first week, the game aims to revive its popularity with the console version. The PS5 version is being optimized to satisfy both existing players and those experiencing the game for the first time.

inZoi’s PS5 Journey and The Sims Competition

According to Krafton’s official announcement, inZoi will launch for PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2026. The console version will feature all the systems and features found on PC, but controls and performance will be reworked to suit the console. This will give players a game that matches the PC experience but can be enjoyed from the comfort of their couch.

inZoi's PS5 Release Date Announced

Controversial situations like the child being run over by a vehicle, which appeared in the PC version and was quickly removed as a “bug,” will not be included in the PS5 version. However, players will experience an experience filled with rich open-world interactions and detailed life management mechanics.

The PS5 launch is also expected to include the game’s first major expansion, “Island Getaway.” It’s not yet clear whether this DLC, planned for PC in 2025, will be included in the PS5 release package. If this expansion is offered for free, the game’s launch excitement could be even greater.

Krafton states that inZoi has long-term content plans to compete with giants like The Sims. The game’s popularity is expected to revive with the console launch and new updates.

inZoi is not just a life simulation; it is progressing towards becoming a comprehensive platform that offers players the opportunity to create their own stories and shape their worlds. The PS5 launch will be one of the most critical steps in this journey.
