Is Bryan Cranston In The New X-Men Movie?

Rumors that Bryan Cranston would join the Marvel universe emerged last year. It is known that the actor, who is the star of Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle, has wanted to play a role in a superhero movie for a long time. Now, it is claimed that Cranston is being mentioned with the legendary character of the X-Men series.

Bryan Cranston Name on the Agenda for X-Men

According to social media sources, Bryan Cranston is being considered for the role of Professor X in Marvel’s new X-Men adaptation. Although this information has not yet been officially confirmed, it is claimed that Kevin Feige is open to the idea. However, Cranston has previously made it clear that he is not keen on playing animated characters.

Cranston, who has said in his past statements, “If I want to play a character, I want to play an antagonist who is a little smarter than the hero. That makes it more enjoyable to watch,” has expressed that he is particularly interested in the character of Mister Sinister. This shows that he may be distant from the role of Professor X, previously played by Sir Patrick Stewart.

Nevertheless, developments in Marvel comics in recent years have completely changed the perception of the character. Professor X has moved to a different dimension both physically and mentally during Jonathan Hickman’s Krakoa period. He has become a character who can stand upright, is equipped with a new generation Cerebro device and can make much darker decisions than the wise leader of the past.

The fact that director Jake Schreier is also involved in the project reveals the seriousness of the production and the quality of the actor it is aiming for.
