Is GTA 6 Being Delayed Again?
The long-awaited GTA 6 was officially delayed to 2026 a few months ago. While fans were beginning to accept this delay, Rockstar’s recent silence has sparked new rumors. While the second trailer and several screenshots released after the game’s initial delay provided a temporary lull, a new rumor circulating behind the scenes now points to a further delay.
New Date for GTA 6: May or September?
According to the latest rumor, GTA 6’s release could be pushed back to September 2026. This information was shared on social media by user “millieamand.” While the user’s credibility is questionable, their claim that the game could be delayed due to “internal discussions” within Rockstar is noteworthy. However, the same source also stated that the planned release date is still May 2026.
The rumors aren’t limited to a delay. Pricing information for the various editions of GTA 6 has also been shared. It’s been suggested that the Standard Edition will retail for $69.99, the Deluxe Edition for $89.99, and the Premium Edition for $109.99. The Premium Edition will also supposedly offer early access to GTA Online.
Another noteworthy detail is the alleged marketing agreement between PlayStation and Rockstar. This could include special PS5 bundles for the GTA 6 release and special performance enhancements for the PS5 Pro. Such a collaboration wouldn’t be surprising, considering the two brands’ past close relationship.
None of this information has been confirmed by Rockstar at this time. However, the continued silence further strengthens the possibility of a delay. While fans are still focused on May 2026, the September scenario continues to be a nightmare.
