Is The Book Of Boba Fett Getting Season 2?

Boba Fett, one of the iconic characters of the Star Wars universe, has fascinated fans with his mystery for years. However, when The Book Of Boba Fett series removed some of this mystery, expectations rose considerably. The first season received a score of 66 percent from critics and 44 percent from viewers, and the story’s focus on the Mandalorian divided fans in two. So will there be a second season?

Temuera Morrison is Hopeful But No Definitive Date

Temuera Morrison, who brings life to Boba Fett, expressed his sadness for not returning to the character for three years in an interview with Collider. Morrison complained, “Where is The Book Of Boba Fett season 2? Ahsoka season 2 is coming, where is mine?” However, he also shed some hope by saying that he had a good conversation with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau at the Star Wars Celebration event.

The famous actor used a rather colorful metaphor to describe his place in the Star Wars world: “I am like a can of peaches on your grandmother’s shelf. I am protected there and will be more delicious when the time comes.” These words also hint that the Boba Fett character has not been completely shelved.

On the other hand, Boba Fett is expected to appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2026. Since Morrison has stated that he has not yet received clear news for the second season, it does not seem likely that the series will come to Disney Plus before the movie.

All these developments show that Boba Fett fans will have to wait a little longer to see the beloved bounty hunter again. However, Temuera Morrison’s energy and the plans made give hope for the character’s return.
