Jonathan Majors Remains Silent About Kang
Former Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jonathan Majors has been keeping a low profile for some time. After being fired by Marvel at the end of 2023 after being found guilty, the actor is trying to start anew. However, the question on fans’ minds remains: Could Majors return as Kang the Conqueror?
Jonathan Majors Responds to Rumors of a Marvel Return
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, Jonathan Majors simply smiled when asked if he would return to the MCU. “I can’t say anything about that,” the actor said cryptically, then added, “After all, it’s a multiverse; there are always possibilities,” opening the door to rumors.
In the interview, Majors also stated that he was pleased that many fans still wanted to see him. However, there has still been no official statement from Marvel. The studio changed the title of The Kang Dynasty to Avengers: Doomsday and featured Doctor Doom as the main villain. Despite this, the story’s outcome remains a matter of curiosity.
The actor previously shared the moment he learned he was fired from Marvel. “I heard it from my lawyer as soon as I left the courthouse,” Majors said. “He told me, ‘Marvel fired you, get ready.’ I couldn’t believe it. My heart was shattered.”
Majors, who has now confirmed his interest in a new superhero project, hinted at the project by saying, “It has nothing to do with Marvel or DC, but it’s a very dark story.” The actor also expressed the uncertainty surrounding his career, saying, “Sometimes I feel like it’s never going to happen, and sometimes it feels like we’re starting next week.”
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars, the series finale, will hit theaters on December 17, 2027. Although Majors’ return seems unlikely, no one can deny that surprises are never impossible in Marvel’s multiverse.
