Killing Floor 3 Delay
Fans have been waiting for new Killing Floor game since 2016. The upcoming third entry, which promises to support both solo play and four-player co-op, will bring the franchise to modern hardware, with Killing Floor 3 promising improved combat, overhauled character movement, and improved mobility. Bryan Wynia, the game’s Creative Director, previously explained that the game would be a “direct sequel” to the original 2009 title, bringing back the dark tone that many fans first fell in love with. While the community was beginning to hype itself up for Killing Floor 3’s long awaited March 25 release, Tripwire Interactive has some unfortunate news.
A new message posted on the game’s website states that Killing Floor 3 has been delayed from its planned March release date to later in 2025. According to the development team, feedback from the recent closed beta confirmed that they “missed the mark,” and more fixes and polish are needed before the title is properly released. During the recent beta, many players experienced issues with performance, lighting, and the feel of the title’s weapons. The devs explained that they are working with parent company Embracer Group to nail down a concrete timeline going forward. Additionally, the notice confirms that an update allowing players to independently select their perk class and character will be implemented after Killing Floor 3’s eventual release.
