More Additions to Xbox Game Pass

Developed by Thomas van den Berg in collaboration with Coatsink, Kingdom Two Crowns is the third installment in the award winning Kingdom series of side scrolling strategy games. It was originally released for PC and consoles in December 2018 before making its way to Android and iOS devices in April 2020.

Xbox Game Pass users can start playing the 2018 strategy title as part of their subscriptions starting today, February 13. Since Kingdom Two Crowns is not a day-one release, it’s available across all tiers of the service, except for the infrequently updated Xbox Game Pass Core. While this is the first time that the game joined Microsoft’s content library, it was already briefly available via Xbox Games with Gold between November and December 2021. Microsoft eventually discontinued its freebie program in September 2023, when it replaced it with Xbox Game Pass Core.

Microsoft’s subscription service also keeps adding more day one titles. Avowed (Feb 18), Atomfall (Mar 27), South of Midnight (Apr 8), Commandos: Origins (Apr 9), Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Apr 24), DOOM: The Dark Ages (May 15) are the games confirmed as day one releases for Xbox Game Pass.
