Kung Fury 2 Movie Leaked
Directed by David Sandberg, Kung Fury 2 has surprised fans who have been waiting for years with a surprise leak. A 10-minute promotional video that has been leaked online has revealed the first images of the crazy action comedy. The images include both plot details and temporary visual effects, and clearly show how crazy the world the film has.
Kung Fury 2 Is Back on the Agenda After Years
The production of Kung Fury 2 was halted in 2019 due to a lawsuit between the producers and Chinese investor Creasun. The film production came to a halt when the company did not provide the $10 million financing it had promised. The project, which was shelved for five years, is now back on the agenda thanks to the leaked internal video.
Director David Sandberg told Variety that the video was for internal use only and should not be made public. However, he also noted that the video reflects the passion for the film. “This movie has been held hostage for years, but I will continue to fight to get it to the audience it deserves,” Sandberg said.
The leaked video shows a crazy scenario. Michael Fassbender stars as Colt Magnum, a long-haired FBI agent, while David Hasselhoff transforms into the Hoff 9000, a sports car straight out of the 80s, and the US president goes hunting for Nazis while armed with a gun. The film is an exaggerated homage to 80s kung fu and buddy cop culture.
Some commentators believe that the leak was intentional and was intended to garner support for the completion of the film, similar to the test footage for Deadpool in 2015. It remains unclear when Kung Fury 2 will be completed, but this new development suggests that the film is still not forgotten. For now, one thing is clear: the world still wants to see this movie.
