Larian Revealed Wizards of the Coast is Not the Reason They Are Moving on From Baldur’s Gate
At the announcement made by Larian, they revealed that studio will move on from Baldur’s Gate franchise and they are not planning to release any DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Wizards of the Coast is Not the Reason of Baldur’s Gate End
Baldur’s Gate 3 proved it’s success this year. The game released in 2023 and it’s still one of famous games of all time. Baldur’s Gate 3 has also earned The Game Awards 2023 proved it’s success with various awards. All these awards and popularity once again became part of Baldur’s Gate’s success.
Along with all these success, recent announcement was upsetting for Baldur’s Gate fans. Larian Studio CEO Swen Vincke recently revealed that they will move on from Baldur’s Gate franchise and they are also not planning any DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3. At first, this decisions was thought because of Wizards of the Coast, since the company owns the licensing for D&D. However, Swen Vincke quickly put an end to these rumors with an official statement.
For the concerns, Vincke revealed that Wizards of the Coast had no say in the new direction Larian Studios is planning to take. In fact, Vincke made it clear that Wizards of the Coast had been a great partner to work with throughout the development of Baldur’s Gate 3. The statement from Vincke clarified that moving on to new projects is simply what he believes is the best move for the future of Larian Studios. But the good news is that Baldur’s Gate 3 will get expanded endings in the future.
In the past days a lot of news came from the studio, some of them were good and some of them were bad for fans. But Larian Studios once again proved it’s success with Baldur’s Gate 3. We are sure that future releases of Larian Studios will make happy fans.
