[Leak] New Prince of Persia Game Release Date
According to the industry insider, new Prince of Persia game will be revealed in April and released in May.
More Details about Upcoming Prince of Persia Game
The first indication of the game’s existence emerged online just recently, via an early April report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. Henderson reported that the title in question is a rougelite helmed by Evil Empire, a French developer best known as the warden of Dead Cells, for which it created a plethora of post launch content since 2019. Henderson also claimed that the game will be called The Rogue Prince of Persia.
The insider stated that The Rogue Prince of Persia will be officially revealed on Wednesday, April 10. The game is also scheduled to be released on May 24.
As per Henderson’s early April reporting, the game itself has been in development for the majority of Evil Empire’s existence, having been greenlit circa 2019. Its art direction is said to be heavily influenced by bandes dessinĂ©es, also known as Franco-Belgian comics. Similar to Dead Cells, The Rogue Prince of Persia is expected to receive a lot of post launch support, though it is unclear how much of its DLC will be sold as opposed to given away for free.
Assuming leaks are true, then Ubisoft will end up announcing and releasing two Prince of Persia games since revealing The Sands of Time remake in 2020. And while that particular game still isn’t expected to see the light of day anytime soon, the franchise itself should have no problems staying relevant for the foreseeable future, both due to this rumored roguelite and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s ambitious content roadmap.
