Lenovo Legion Go 2 Features Announced
The Lenovo Legion Go 2, unveiled at IFA 2025, has already generated significant interest among portable gaming devices. This new version, following the first model, is particularly notable for its OLED display, more powerful processor, and increased battery capacity. Of course, the higher-end hardware also comes with a starting price of $1,049. The device, set to launch in October, appears poised to compete directly with the ROG Ally X.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 Specifications
Lenovo’s new device features an 8.8-inch OLED touchscreen. Its 1920×1200 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR and VRR support offer one of the highest-quality displays among handheld consoles. TrueBlack 1000 support will deliver deeper blacks and more vibrant colors.
Internally, the Legion Go 2 boasts an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, Radeon 890M graphics, up to 32GB of 8000MHz LPDDR5X RAM, and 2TB M.2 SSD storage options. These features elevate the Legion Go 2 from a mere portable device to a high-end gaming PC.
The 74Wh battery offers a 50% larger capacity compared to the previous model, reducing charging concerns during extended gaming sessions. The device also offers extensive connectivity options with dual USB4 Type-C ports, a microSD card reader, a headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The Legion Go 2’s main competitor will be the ROG Xbox Ally X, which will be released around the same time. While Lenovo’s advantage lies in its OLED display, higher RAM, and storage capacity, the Ally X is expected to feature a more compact and ergonomic design. It’s also worth noting that the Legion Go 2 offers flexibility for desktop use thanks to its detachable controllers and kickstand.
